Liverpool fan Jamie Caven is a 6ft 14 stone Mexican eating Leicester lad who is out and about on the PDC scene making a name for himself in the Darts World, Jamie hit the headlines in 2007 highlighting his superb achievements on the Darts circuit faced with his disabilities of which he mentions in his biog below, Jamie has written what he offers in exhibitions and is prepared to travel to all corners of the UK to entertain darts fans alike, Jamie can arrive by himself, or with Darts stageset, sound system and MC for the evening.

Jamie says, I am prepared to play either on stage or in front of half a dozen people on a pub board if neccessary

I will play upto 20 players in an exhibition whether its a darts team wanting a serious game. Maybe 1 leg of 501 or 701 or whatever is required. I can adapt to whatever is requested. Or whether its just some people wanting to play for fun, I really don't mind. I have performed a few exhibitions before but generally its been players wanting to beat me to win a prize of some kind! I can throw for doubles on my knees or play on bulls and 25s.

I have been a pro since July 2006, after I decided to give it a go full time to see if I could make it pay - as I was quite low down on the pay scale at my previous employment with the Inland Revenue.

My achievements include winning the World Youth Championship in 1993 at the tender age of 17. Around that same time I recorded the highest average in the British Inter Counties Championships (BDO) playing for Leicestershire 'A' against Lincolnshire. I won the achievement award with an average of 37.58 per dart (112.74) I recall missing 5 darts at doubles in the 3 legs it took me to win in 14, 14 and 12 - My scores were 100, 140, 140, 113 d4(in 2 darts) - 99, 140, 140, 90 d16(in 2 darts) - 140, 180, 170 11gs 3,d4 (in 3 darts - amazing how you remember these things!!)

I also beat Phil Taylor in one of his Worthington Masters events in Leicester (Nov '06) I won the event too and Phil actually persuaded me to join the PDC where I qualified for the World Championships within a year. Worthingtons are now set to become my main sponsor - and negotiations are currently on going.

I am originally from Leicester but set to move to Derby soon.

I am blind in my right eye and am right handed. I don't really see where I am throwing untill my dart has left my hand!!!!

I am also diabetic after having my pancreas removed in 1996. I have to inject insulin 4 times daily - my nickname JABBA is a result of that fact.

Maybe accomodation could be requested if over 50 miles away???

Regards Jamie
